Well Done Dancers

Well done to every member of the dance team who competed last weekend. A top effort in the face of some stiff competition… You all deserve a medal!IMG_8899

On Saturday 3rd October and Sunday 4th October the UKA hosted its Premier Dance Festival at the Empress Gardens Blackpool. Kim and Bogdan competed on Saturday in the styles of Street Dance / Hip Hop. On Sunday the rest of the team competed in the styles of Ballroom and Latin. Dance schools travelled from all over the country and beyond including Scotland, Ireland and Portugal to show off there dancing in front of the judges so the standard of dancing was very high making for stiff competition even for the more experienced dancers. Under pressure you all performed so well.

I’ve only got a few photographs from the day. If you have any nice pictures you would be happy to share then please forward them onto me and I will add them to this post. email jonathan@nobletts.com

Dancing the Waltz and Cha Cha Cha

What a great start for our new adult pupils who by the end of their first lesson were dancing the Waltz and Cha Cha Cha! Well done to you all. We hope you enjoyed the lesson as much as we did and are looking forward to next week. See you then Estelle, Jonathan and Megan.

Adult Social Dance This Saturday

Get of the couch and away from the goggle box and enjoy an evening of dancing and socialising with fellow pupils this Saturday the 12th September. Practice your Ballroom and Latin dances on our large dance floor at Kirkham Community Centre. This is an ideal opportunity for our adult competitors to practice their routines prior to the UKA Winter Gardens competition in October. There will also be some sequence dances for those who enjoy this style. Dancing starts at 8:30pm and please feel free to bring your own nibbles and drinks to enjoy between dances. Dress code is relaxed and casual.

PS. Please tell all your friends about our new adult beginner class due to start in October. A great opportunity to learn to dance Ballroom and Latin. So, come on Mums and Dads, enjoy doing something together and give it a go as I am sure you will find that learning to dance is far better than just watching celebrities do it on TV!
