Elisabeth’s Message
Hiya Everybody,
This is a personal message from Elisabeth:-
We have just got back from a fantastic Competition Day in a new venue in Huddersfield. It has been a lovely day and no doubt by now, you will have read about all the Dance School successes on facebook and seen the photographs on Instagram. Congratulations to all our Competitors. Winners one and all!!
I would like to say a special “Big Thank you”, on behalf of the Competitors and Parents, to Estelle, Jonathan and Jan for partnering ALL the competitors and helping them to achieve such a high standard of Dance. I hope all three of you can get your feet up and rest this evening before you all go back to work tomorrow. I don`t know where you get all your energy from.
We will see you all in class during the week.
Elisabeth M.
Busy start to 2016
Our dancers have enjoyed a very busy start to the year including two Ballroom and Latin competitions, a Street dance competition, Medal presentation evening with professional dance demonstration, trip to Blackpool Tower Ballroom and most recently the ‘Top Hat’ performance at the Opera House which was amazing. We are very proud of all our dancers who have worked hard to improve their dancing and who get involved with our events. You can see pictures of all of these events and more on the dance school instagram page.
We have recently updated the dance school web site with details of all planned events for 2016. Click here to check out our action packed calender. If you require more information on any of our events then please dont hesitate to contact us. We also welcome any feedback which can be used to help develop and improve our dance classes and events. Just fill out the contact form below with your ideas and suggestions.
All of our adult pupils, including our beginners and improver’s, are welcome to join us for a social dance on Saturday the 7th May starting at 8pm and we have all of our Medal Tests on Sunday the 8th May. Our Social dances are very relaxed, just bring your dance shoes and your own favourite drinks and nibbles. Its an ideal opportunity to practice all those steps you’ve been working hard to master.
Great Start to Dancing in 2016
UKA Premier Dance Festival
Dance school competitors.. Keep up the good work and make the most of your practice sessions as there is now only 1 week to go before the UKA’s Premier Dance Competition. Also, please try on your outfits and shoes to be sure they fit! You don’t want an outfit malfunction on the day! If you’re new to competition and want some advice then don’t hesitate to ask Estelle or the more experienced pupils. We will be pleased to help. This event will be very busy so please arrive early to find where we are seated and allow good time to change into your dance outfits etc.
Estelle has the tickets for this event, if you have not received your tickets then please get in touch ASAP.
This year the school will have over 30 pupils competing in Ballroom and Latin American styles (on Sunday 4th October) and for the first time at a UKA Premier Event we will have a couple of pupils who will compete in the style of Street Dance! (on Saturday 3rd October). Good Luck everyone!
