Our dancers have enjoyed a very busy start to the year including two Ballroom and Latin competitions, a Street dance competition, Medal presentation evening with professional dance demonstration, trip to Blackpool Tower Ballroom and most recently the ‘Top Hat’ performance at the Opera House which was amazing. We are very proud of all our dancers who have worked hard to improve their dancing and who get involved with our events. You can see pictures of all of these events and more on the dance school instagram page.
We have recently updated the dance school web site with details of all planned events for 2016. Click here to check out our action packed calender. If you require more information on any of our events then please dont hesitate to contact us. We also welcome any feedback which can be used to help develop and improve our dance classes and events. All of our adult pupils, including our beginners and improver’s, are welcome to join us for a social dance on Saturday the 7th May starting at 8pm and we have all of our Medal Tests on Sunday the 8th May. Our Social dances are very relaxed, just bring your dance shoes and your own favourite drinks and nibbles. Its an ideal opportunity to practice all those steps you’ve been working hard to master.
On Saturday 3rd October and Sunday 4th October the UKA hosted its Premier Dance Festival at the Empress Gardens Blackpool. Kim and Bogdan competed on Saturday in the styles of Street Dance / Hip Hop. On Sunday the rest of the team competed in the styles of Ballroom and Latin. Dance schools travelled from all over the country and beyond including Scotland, Ireland and Portugal to show off there dancing in front of the judges so the standard of dancing was very high making for stiff competition even for the more experienced dancers. Under pressure you all performed so well.
I’ve only got a few photographs from the day. If you have any nice pictures you would be happy to share then please forward them onto me and I will add them to this post. email email@example.com
