About Us

Elisabeth Marsden started dance classes in Kirkham, Lancashire, in the early 1990s. By 1995, most classes were being held in the Kirkham Community Centre, on the beautiful sprung ballroom floor, and remain there to this day.

Elisabeth Marsden, founder of Kirkham Dance

Over the past 30 years the dance school has grown considerably in numbers, allowing Elisabeth to offer a broad range of classes to suit all abilities. In Ballroom, students learn to Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Tango. Our Latin tuition spans the Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, and Paso Doble. Street dance and freestyle are incredibly popular choices for young people, while popular sequence and line dancing are perennial favourites for adults. Classes run throughout most school holidays, providing consistency and continuity. For adults, there are also social supper dances at regular intervals throughout the year.

Elisabeth is a UKA Dance Fellow and runs the school, ably supported by her husband Michael and a team of experienced dance teachers.

She is passionate about providing high quality dance instruction to the local community.
