Thank you all Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Friends, and Family for supporting our pupils and celebrating their success. You made our Medal Presentation Evening a great family occasion. The children rose to the occasion and performed with confidence a variety of dances and had lots of fun before accepting their awards which were handed out by their teachers Harriet, Carly and Estelle. At the end of the evening their contributions were recognised with flowers handed out by the principle of the dance school Elisabeth.
Thank you also for your kind donations towards the purchase of some large portable mirrors. These will be of great assistance and will be used by the teacher team to help improve the style and technique of all the pupils. A big thank you also goes out to all those Mums (and some Dads) who help our pupils look the part. If you have any hints and tips (hair, makeup, dresses etc..) which might help other members of our dance community then why not share them! This web site is for the benefit of all our dance school community so please get in touch if you have useful information to share. If you would be willing to contribute to the dance school web site by writing a short ‘blog’ then please email email@example.com
If this occasion has inspired any Mums and Dads to give dancing a try then please get in touch. Dancing is great fun whatever your age or ability. Below are a few very short clips of the evening. I was dancing on this occasion so the footage is very ‘raw’ (straight out of my iphone!)…. I did not have time to set up and use my ‘posh camera’.
As Elisabeth said, the best way to get these blogs is by subscribing. You can do this by entering your email address at the bottom of the page.
Fun was had by all at our ‘Frozen’ themed Christmas party.
The event included games and dancing hosted by our teacher team who dressed for the occasion as ‘Frozen’ characters. Merry Christmas everyone and best wishes for 2015! We have a fabulous action packed Calander of events to look forward to.
Merry Christmas everyone, whether it’s a “ho, ho, ho” or a “bah humbug” !!
Our dance school Christmas break begins after our fantastic Christmas party on Sunday 21st December and we re-open on Saturday the 3rd January 2015.
It has been an amazing year for the dance school in 2014 including our success in the ballroom/latin and street dance competitions and new formats in both the childrens and adults classes. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our teachers and helpers but especially our senior teachers Estelle, Harriet, Carlotta and Kim for their support and hard work helping to launch our new ventures.
Please ask for details if any young people would like to be considered for competition. The dance quality of the young people involved has substantially improved since we started and we are having a great time!
We are moving into 2015 with more new exciting things on our agenda. You may have seen Bogdans our new street dance teacher on our dance school Facebook page. Wow! He is a sensation. We are very lucky to have found him. The street dance class will be held on Thursday evening 6pm to 7pm so please pass the word.
Download our 2015 events calendar form our website. Please note that because of our competition commitments I have brought our summer medal test date forward to try and spread costs for those involved.
Thank you all for your continued support of the dance school. It will be our 20th year in 2015 and we are hoping to celebrate in some way so let me know your ideas.
